Project W Hosts 1st Session of Educational Series

On the evening of May 21st, Project W, a women’s giving circle, hosted the first of a multi-part Spring Educational Series! Dr. Mary Powell, a board member of The Community’s Foundation and founding member of Project W, presented her insights on the topic of “Social Determinants of Health” and how these relate to the residents of Delaware County.

Attendees learned how our health is determined in part by access to social and economic opportunities: the quality of our schooling; the safety of our workplaces, the cleanliness of our water, food and air; and the nature of our social interactions and relationships. Participants engaged in lively discussions about how Project W members can help by using their time and resources for causes that they care about, right here in Delaware County!

Please join us for Project W’s next Session

Project W is proud to host the next session of its Spring Educational Series on Tuesday June 18 at 6:30 pm called “Economic Inequality: The Impact on Women”. Rebecca Reeves, of the New Choices Career Development Program, will share her knowledge and answer questions during this session. The session will be held at 940 W Sprout Road in the Basement Conference Room. We hope you can join us.
